The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, announced that it would examine four witnesses. It requested protection measures for a sexual violence victim, who would appear as a witness.

“The witness has certain fears from the indictee. She does not want her name to be mentioned in public,” Prosecutor Vladimir Simovic said.

The Prosecution of BiH charges Savic, a former member of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, with having raped a Bosniak female in June 1993.

He is defending himself while at liberty under prohibiting measures. Savic was arrested in late September last year. He was released to liberty after having been examined by the Prosecution of BiH.

It is planned that the first witness will be examined at the beginning of the trial.
