Trial Chamber Chairwoman Zeljka Marenic said that the hearing was postponed due to the fact that indictee Tripkovic had not come to court from the Foca Prison, adding that this was due to technical reasons exclusively.

“Novica Tripkovic has not been brought from the Foca Penal and Correctional Facility today. Therefore, the hearing will not be held today due to technical reasons,” Marenic explained.

Marinko and Zoran Bjelica, as well as Novica Tripkovic, former members of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, are charged with having participated in the murder and torture of Bosniak civilians, who were detained in the “Miladin Radojevic” school building in Kalinovik, in August 1992.

The next hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, December 17, when the Defence of indictee Marinko Bjelica will present 13 pieces of material evidence. The Defence of indictee Zoran Bjelica plans to invite its first witnesses to appear at that hearing as well.
