“Following the arrest of 12 persons suspected of war crimes in Zecovi last week, the Prosecution and SIPA actively worked on locating and arresting Antonic, who was on the run,” the Prosecution’s announcement says.

The twelve suspects were arrested on November 17 and one more three days later.

The Prosecution said that Antonic, who was arrested in the Prijedor area, would be handed over to the Prosecution. Following his examination, a custody order motion will be filed.

“The Prosecution of BiH is conducting an investigation into war crimes against the Bosniak population in Zecovi village, near Prijedor, in 1992, when more than 150 victims were killed. A part of them were found and identified in Tomasica mass grave. Twenty-nine women and children, whose bodies have still not been found, were also killed,” the Prosecution’s announcement says.
