As announced by the State Court, Vlacic is banned from leaving his place of residence, travelling and contacting witnesses. Besides that, the Court ordered him to report to a police station twice a week.

“In case the indictee violates the pronounced prohibiting measures, he may be ordered into custody,” the announcement says.

Vlacic, former member of military police with the Birac Brigade of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, is charged with the murders and inhumane treatment of detainees in the “Lovac” building in 1993.

According to the charges, he took three detained civilians from prison cells and beat the victims up until they died. After that he ordered one of the detainees to carry their bodies back into the cells and threatened him by saying that he must not tell anyone about it.

Besides that, the Prosecution of BiH charges him with having beaten up and tortured a detainee.

Vlacic has been held in custody since his arrest in the Zvornik area on June 4.
