As announced by the Court, the custody measure was ordered due to a possibility that he might flee and influence witnesses or accomplices.

Coloman, former member of the Reconnaissance Squad with the Seventh Muslim Brigade of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, who was arrested on June 25, is suspected of having participated in crimes against Croat civilians in Vitez.

The Prosecution alleges that Coloman, who was accompanied by another member of ABiH, filed several bursts of bullets through a closed door of the local community centre, where Croat civilians were detained, in Poculica village on April 24, 1993. He killed three and wounded nine people on that occasion.

Following his arrest, the Prosecution of BiH filed a custody order motion due to the existence of a fear that he might flee and influence witnesses. The Defence objected to the motion, proposing to the Court to order prohibiting measures instead of custody.
