In his statement given in 2004 late Petar Radulovic said that he was captured, along with other local residents of Trnjak, Novi Grad and Donja Dubica villages and detained in a school building in Odzak.

Radulovic’s statement says that members of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, and Croatian Army humiliated the detainees in various ways and beat them. Radulovic mentioned Ante Golubovic, Ivica Bozic, Josip Tolic and others as guards, who took the detainees out and beat them.

As indicated by Radulovic, on one occasion he was beaten by Zdenko Mikulic, who was accompanied by other guards, including Josip Tolic.

Radulovic was exchanged from the school building in Odzak after having spent nearly 60 days in it.

Josip Tolic, former member of the 102nd Odzak Brigade with the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, is charged with having participated in the abuse of Serb detainees in the Odzak and Bosanski Brod areas from May to October 1992.

The public was excluded from the part of the hearing at which the Prosecution read a statement given by late witness Brankica Tadic.

The trial is due to continue on June 6.
