The identified remains belong to Samir Muratagic, who, according to the available data, was 17 years old, when he and his adoptive parents were killed in their apartment in Bijeljina.

His remains were found in a mass grave at Tombak Muslim cemetery in Bijeljina in 2005.

“Samir’s remains were found together with the remains of his adoptive parents. Samir has no other living relatives. His remains will be buried with the remains of his adoptive father Mehmedalija Cehajic at the cemetery in Janja. Samir’s adoptive mother Pasa Cehajic was buried at the same cemetery before,” said Mustafa Mulamustafic, member of the Association of Demobilised Soldiers from Janja.

He said that the remains of eight Janja residents, who were taken away from their homes, slaughtered and buried on Majevica, Tuzla municipality, were still being searched for.

Besides Murtagic, Mujo Sprecak, whose remains were found at a cemetery in Bijeljina in 2005, has also been identified in Tuzla.
