The grave is located on a dump on whose surface several remains can be seen.

Lejla Cengic, spokesperson of the INO of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that it was assumed that the remains belonged to Bosniak civilians, who were killed at Gracanica, Rogatica municipality, in 1992.

According to Cengic, it is possible that the grave contains remains of Bosniak civilians from all parts of Rogatica municipality. So far 456 victims, out of which 384 have been identified, have been exhumed on the territory of that municipality.

INO of BiH says that exhumations have been conducted at 182 localities in Rogatica municipality so far.
“It is sure that the number of victims to be found on the territory of Rogatica municipality will be higher once the detailed search of terrain and exhumation from the new mass grave at Krive Stijene have begun,” Cengic said.

The dates of exhumations from this mass grave and a local cemetery in Ustikolina, where remains of victims of the past war were found too, will be determined at a later stage.
