Miroslav Krajisnik Ordered into Custody

Miroslav Krajisnik was arrested in the Sokolac area on January 24 this year. As per the State Courts decision, he may be held in custody until February 24 this year.
The Court accepted a motion filed by the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and ordered Krajisnik into custody, because some circumstances indicate that, by staying at liberty, the suspect might influence criminal proceedings by influencing witnesses and accomplices and that he might destroy, hide, change or falsify evidence or traces that are important for the criminal proceedings,” the Court announced.
The Defence said the Court’s decision to reject the State Prosecutions motion as unfounded.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina suspects Miroslav Krajisnik of having committed crimes against humanity by giving an order to kill ten Bosniak civilians in June 1992.
The State Prosecution alleges that Krajisnik participated in the capture and persecution of many people, mainly Bosniak women and children, from Nahorevo, Poljine and other parts of Sarajevo.A.S.
