Following his arrest, Krsmanovic was handed over to the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which proposed that he be ordered into custody.

“Krsmanovic was sentenced before the District Court in Belgrade, but the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina is conducting a much broader investigation into the crimes committed in Visegrad. We shall contact our colleagues in Serbia in relation to collection of evidence against Krsmanovic for crimes committed against victims from Sjeverin village,” said Boris Grubesic, Spokesperson of the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In 2005, the District Court in Belgrade sentenced Dragutin Dragicevic and, in absentia, Milan Lukic and Oliver Krsmanovic, to 20 years in prison, while Djordje Sevic was sentenced to 15 years for crimes committed against Bosniaks from Sjeverin.

Lukic is currently on trial before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, ICTY, for crimes committed against the non-Serb population in Visegrad in 1992.

In July 2009, the Hague Tribunal pronounced a first instance verdict sentencing Lukic to life imprisonment for crimes committed in the Visegrad area from 1992 to 1994. The parties then filed appeals to the first instance verdict.
