The Prosecution of BiH has proposed the simultaneous examination of a graphologist and military analyst at three trials for crimes committed in Srebrenica area conducted before the Court of BiH.

The Prosecution suggested that the testimony be scheduled in March, and the Trial Chamber will render its decision at a later stage.

The Prosecution of BiH charges Trbic, as assistant commander for security with the Zvornik Brigade of the Republika Srpska Army (VRS) and officer-in-charge of the Brigade’s Military Police Squad, with having deliberately participated in the forcible deportation of Bosniaks from Srebrenica and in the execution and burial of people from July 11 to November 1, 1995.

Explaining his request for the simultaneous testimony of court experts, Prosecutor Kwao Hong Ip said that military analyst Richard Butler and International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) investigator Meaning Deana are due to testify in the Trbic, Bozic and Kravica cases concerning “the same circumstances”. Ip represents the Prosecution in these three cases.

In the “Bozic” case, the Prosecution charges four former members of the Bratunac Brigade Military Police Squad with having guarded the buses used to transport Srebrenica residents to Bratunac in July 1995.

As part of the “Kravica” case, 11 former members of the police and Republika Srpska Army are charged with genocide committed in Srebrenica.

The trial continues on February 18, when the Prosecution of BiH is due to examine witness Luka Markovic, who has failed to appear in the courtroom on two previous occasions.
