Episode 144: Online profiteers of hate flourish in Bosnia and Serbia
This month we’ll be talking about how retail outlets in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia profit from spreading hate and get away with selling clothes that glorify war criminals and far-right ideologies.

Early last year on its website, an online shop in Belgrade advertised a T-shirt emblazoned with the words ‘Knife, Wire’, a slogan that indisputably refers to the genocide committed in Srebrenica in July 1995. Following strong reactions from the public and pressure by the Serbian authorities, the Belgrade shop took the T-shirts off the market. It is no longer possible to purchase similar T-shirts, but an investigation by BIRN Bosnia and Herzegovina’s journalists has revealed how shops in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina continue to profit from clothing that glorifies war criminals and spreads far-right ideology similar to that of the Nazis.
