“Krsmanovic threatened one detainee with mutilation, and he forced another to eat three bullets, after which he cut through his finger with a knife,” the prosecution said in a statement.

It said that that in the winter months, when temperatures were extremely low, Krsmanovic forced prisoners to wash freight vehicles, and after that he tortured, humiliated and doused them with water from a fire hydrant.

“He forcibly drove some of the detainees through the town attached to the body of the truck and subjected them to the mockery of the population. With his actions, Krsmanovic endangered the health of the detainees,” it added.

He is accused of committing the crimes by himself and with other people.

The indictment was forwarded to the state court for confirmation.
