The appeals chamber rejected an appeal from the defense as unfounded and confirmed the first instance verdict handed down in June 2015.

Savic, a former member of the Bosnian Serb Army, was found guilty of abducting and raping a woman on two occasions in May and June 1993 in Semizovac in the municipality of Vogosca. On both occasions, Savic abducted the woman in front of her house and took her to the Krivoglavci station, where he ordered her to take her clothes off and perform oral sex on him. He then raped her in his car.

According to the verdict, Savic is obliged to pay the amount of 30,000 BAM to the injured party as compensation for non-material damages no later than 90 days after the announcement of the second instance verdict.
