Medical expert Nikica Sutalo determined that Bojic would be capable of traveling and following the trial after his orthopedic apparatus has been removed. Following Bojic’s examination, Sutalo said Bojic could walk independently, but slowly, and that his general condition was appropriate to his age and satisfactory.

Bojic’s trial has been postponed since February because he was diagnosed with tumour and received treatment. Bojic is on trial together with Savo Tepic, Dusko Maksimovic, Dusko Vujicic, Radojko Keverovic and Ilija Kurusic on charges of having participated in the detention, torture and other crimes against Bosniaks and Croats in Kotor-Varos.

According to the charges, Tepic was the chief of the public safety station, Bojic was the commander of the police station in Kotor-Varos, Vujicic was an active policeman, Maksimovic and Keverovic were reserve policemen, while Kurusic was a member of the Bosnian Serb Army (VRS).

Both the prosecution and defense said there was no need to separate the proceedings against Bojic. The chamber accepted their suggestion and decided to wait for about two more months for the trial to begin.

The last witness in this case was examined at a February 2015 hearing.

The trial is now set to resume on February 29.
