Ilhana Tahmaz-Jamak, the Supreme Court’s spokesperson, said the defense’s appeal had been partially upheld. Tahmaz-Jamak said the verdict was repealed and the cantonal court of Zenica was ordered to hold a new trial.||In its appeal, the defense asked the court to either acquit the defendant or repeal the verdict. The state prosecution asked that the appeal be rejected and the verdict handed down by the cantonal court of Zenica in October 2014 be confirmed.||On October 8, 2014, the cantonal court of Zenica found Dedic guilty of participating in a search of houses in Duzice on June 10, 1992. He also was found guilty of arresting Serb civilians and beating them at a police station, along with other police officers. Two of the civilians died, while three received severe bodily injuries.
