Two War Crimes Verdicts Scheduled for Next Week

On Monday, August 31, the state court will hand down a verdict in the Oliver Krsmanovic trial. Krsmanovic, a former member of the Bosnian Serb Army, has been charged with participating in acts of murder, rape and the inhumane treatment of civilians in Visegrad.
On Tuesday, September 1, a verdict will also be handed down in the case of Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic and Nihad Bojadzic. The defendants, all former members of the Bosnian Army, have been charged with the murder of Croat civilians and soldiers in the village of Trusina, near Konjic.
On Monday, August 31, the Dragan Glogovac trial will begin with a reading of the indictment and the presentation of introductory statements. Glogovac has been charged with war crimes in the Zavidovici area.
On Monday, August 31, Mendeljev Djuric will testify for the state prosecution at the Goran Saric Trial. Saric has been charged with committing acts of genocide in Srebrenica. Djuric is currently serving a 28 year prison sentence for war crimes in Srebrenica.
On Tuesday, September 1, Martin Barukcic will testify in his own defense. Barukcic, Marijan Brnjic, Pavo Glavas, and Ilija Glavas have been charged with war crimes in Odzak.
On Friday, September 4, Radoman Fundup will testify in his own defense. Fundup has been charged with war crimes in Foca.
On Wednesday, September 2, a pretrial status conference will be held in the case of Jadranko Saran, Fahrudin Hadziosmanagic-Tadzic, Samir Sabic and Zijad Kadic. The defendants have been charged with war crimes in the Bosanska Krupa area.
