The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, considers that the current prohibiting measures, including a ban on meeting potential co-perpetrators and witnesses, an obligation to report to a police station and the confiscation of personal identification and travel documents, should be extended. As said, the investigation in this case was still ongoing.

Attorney Radivoje Lazarevic said that his client had been blind since the war and that his hearing was impaired, so those facts should be taken into consideration when deciding about the measures.

“The indictee has citizenship of Serbia. We are willing to deposit the passport at the Court,” Lazarevic said.

According to the charges, Marjanovic, former member of Bircanska Brigade of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, raped a Bosniak female in Caparde village, which is situated in Osmaci municipality, in June 1992.

The indictment was confirmed on December 31.
