Strpci Crimes Suspects Ordered into Custody

Luka Dragicevic, Boban Indjic, Petko Indjic, Vuk Ratkovic, Novak Poluga, Radojica Ristic, Dragan Lakic, Oliver Krsmanovic, Momir Nikolic and Obrad Poluga have been ordered into custody due to a suspicion that they might influence witnesses or accomplices.
They were arrested on December 5 due to a suspicion that they kidnapped 20 passengers from a train travelling from Belgrade to Bar in Strpci village, Rudo municipality in 1993 and then took the passengers to Visegrad and killed them.
The victims were Bosniaks with citizenship of Serbian and Montenegro, as well as one Croat and one person of Afro-Asian origin.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, announced earlier that the suspects included high-ranking military officials of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, from that period. They were members of the Interventions Company of the Visegrad Brigade, including the Commander of that unit.
On that same day five other people were arrested due to the same crime on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
The Prosecution of BiH announced that this arrest was part of a joint investigation conducted by the Bosnian State Prosecution and the War Crimes Prosecution of Serbia, which was conducted on the basis of the Protocol for co-operation in processing war crimes.
