Trial of Bogdanovic and Sladoje Postponed

19. September 2014.00:00
The trial of Slobodan Bogdanovic and Goran Sladoje, both charged with crimes in Sarajevo, has been postponed before the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo due to the absence of Defence attorney Radivoje Lazarevic.

“I received a notification from attorney Lazarevic that he was attending a seminar in Neum. Considering that his absence is justified, the hearing is postponed,” said Trial Chamber Chairman Jasenko Ruzic.

Bogdanovic and Sladoje are charged with having come to Besic’s house on June 13, 1992 and took Bajro and Suad Besic to a garage, where they beat them and then transferred them to the Jewish cemetery, where they used them as human shields. Suad Besic was killed on that occasion.

The trial has been postponed until October 17, when two Defence witnesses will be examined.
