In April this year the Tuzla Cantonal Court acquitted Trle, former member of the 3rd Battalion with the Third Tuzla Brigade, of the charges that, following the occupation of positions held by the Republika Srpska Army on April 21, 1993, he separated Drago Stevanovic, who was wounded, from a group of prisoners and killed him opening burst fire on his chest from immediate distance. This allegedly happened on Banj Brdo, Kalesija municipality.

The Tuzla Cantonal Prosecution appealed this verdict and the Supreme Court of FBiH upheld it.

“The Supreme Court of FBiH rendered a decision, upholding the appeal filed by the Cantonal Prosecutors, quashes the verdict filed by the Tuzla Cantonal Court and orders a new trial before the Supreme Court of FBiH,” the Supreme Court announced today.

This is the second time the Tuzla Cantonal Court pronounces verdicts, acquitting Trle of charges. The first such verdict was pronounced on May 23, 2013, but the Supreme Court of FBiH quashed it and ordered a retrial.
