Zilic was due to testify in defence of Ibro Macic in presence of his attorney Dusko Tomic considering the fact that a war-crime investigation is being conducted against him.

Trial Chamber Chairman Davorin Jukic said that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, had not been informed why Tomic failed to appear at the hearing.

The Prosecution of BiH charges Ibro Macic, former member of the Army of BiH, ABiH, with having participated in the torture and sexual abuse of prisoners in the “Musala” school building in Konjic from April to October 1993.

The continuation of the trial is scheduled for September 5, when Zilic is due to testify.
