Koler osuðen na godinu i po zatvora

4. July 2014.00:00
The third instance Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, FBiH, confirms a verdict, under which Ivan Koler was sentenced to a year-and-a-half in prison for the inhumane treatment of prisoners, former members of the Yugoslav National Army, JNA, in the District Military Prison in Tuzla in June and July 1992.

This Chamber confirmed the verdict pronounced by the Supreme Court of FBiH on March 11, 2013, rejected the appeals filed by the Prosecution and Defence as unfounded.

Koler was found guilty of having beaten the wounded prisoners with his hands, baton and plunger, hit them on their wounds, forced them to lick sanitary facilities and threatened them that they would be shot on several occasions.

Considering the fact that Koler was acquitted of charges before the Cantonal Court in Tuzla in 2011 and that a second instance verdict was a verdict of conviction, the parties had the right to file an appeal with the third instance Chamber.
