The State Investigation and Protection Agency on Tuesday arrested former Bosnian Serb soldier Novak Mitrovic, who is suspected of committing war crimes in the village of Kamenica in the Zavidovici municipality.

The Bosnian prosecution alleges that Mitrovic, a former member of the Second Ozren brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army and a guard in the Dom Franjo Herljevic detention camp, unlawfully imprisoned Bosniak and Croat civilians from June to December 1992.

He is suspected of taking part in murders, torture and other inhumane acts against prisoners at the camp, the Bosnian prosecution said.

Prosecutors will decide whether to demand a remand in custody after they interrogate the suspect.
