On Monday, January 13 the Court is due to pronounce a verdict against Fikret Planincic, Rasim Lisancic, Sead Menzil and Mirsad Vatrac, who are charged with having participated in an attack on Serdari village, near Kotor-Varos on September 17, 1992, when Serb civilians were killed.

On that same day the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to pronounce a verdict against Veselko Raguz and Ivo Raguz, who, according to the charges, were members of the Fourth “Knez Domagoj” Brigade of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO.

Veselko Raguz, former Commander of that Brigade, is charged with having ordered, assisted in or committed the arrest and detention of Bosniak men from the Stolac area. Veselko and Ivo Raguz are charged with having participated in the examination and beating of several Bosniak detainees in Dretelj detention camp at the beginning of August 1993.

A verdict against Zeljko Jukic, former HVO member, is due to be pronounced on Wednesday, January 15. The indictment charges Jukic with having participated, along with other HVO members, in the persecution, murders and forced disappearances of Bosniaks from the Prozor area from July to September 1993.

The beginning of a repeated trial of Nikola Andrun, who was released from prison, where he was serving his 18-year sentence for crimes in a detention camp in Gabela, due to the wrong application of the law, is scheduled for Friday, January 17.  

The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided that the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina should not have applied the Criminal Code of BiH, but the Criminal Code of the former Yugoslavia, according to which a shorter sentence could have been pronounced against Andrun.

On Monday, January 13 the Defence of Nihad Bojadzic is due to continue presenting evidence at the trial for crimes in Trusina, which are charged upon Bojadzic, Mensur Memic, Dzevad Salcin, Senad Hakalovic, Nedzad Hodzic and Zulfikar Alispago.

The trial of Dragomir Soldat, Velemir Djuric and Zoran Babic, who are charged with crimes in Carakovo village, near Prijedor, continues on Monday as well. A State Prosecution’s motion for prohibiting measures against Zahid Alic, Muhamed Sisic, Izet Hadzic, Aziz Susa, Tarik Sisic, Aziz Aganovic and Emir Drakovac, who are suspected of crimes in Rogatica, is due to be discussed on that same day.

On Tuesday the Prosecution of BiH is due to examine Edin Dzeko, who is charged with crimes in Trusina village, near Konjic, while a new witness will be examined at the trial of Goran Ssaric, who is indicted for genocide in Srebrenica.  

On that same day new Defence witnesses are due to be examined at the trials of Najdan Mladjenovic and Savo Zivkovic, who are charged with crimes in Bratunac, Predrag Milisavljevic, Milos Pantelic and Ljubomir Tasic, who are charged with crimes in Visegrad, as well as Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic, who are on trial for crimes in Dretelj detention camp, near Capljina.  

On Wednesday the trials are due to continue in the case against Branko Vlaco, who is charged with crimes in Sarajevo, Milun Kornjaca, who is indicted for crimes in Cajnice, and Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are on trial for genocide in Srebrenica.

The trial of Vehid Subotic, who is charged with crimes in Dusina village, near Konjic, continues on Wednesday and Friday, January 17.

On Thursday, January 16 the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to continue presenting evidence at the trial of Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic, Becir Hujic and Nermin Kalember, who are charged with crimes in Hadzici.  

On that same day new State Prosecution witnesses are due to be examined at the trials of Nihad Bojadzic, who is charged with crimes in Jablanica, Nedzad Hodzic and Dzevad Salcin, who are charged with crimes on Mount Igman, as well as Josip Tolic for crimes in Odzak.

On Friday new State Prosecution witnesses are due to be examined at the trials of Ibro Macic, as well as Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian Nicolae Vintila, who are charged with crimes in the “Viktor Bubanj” military barracks in Sarajevo.

The trial of Safet Mujcinovic, Sleman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Hariz Habibovic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic and Kahro Vejzovic, who are charged with crimes in Kladanj, continues that same day.

Bosnian Army Ex-Soldiers Jailed for Beating Prisoners
Former Bosnian Army soldiers Muhko and Safet Velagic were found guilty of committing war crimes against prisoners of war in the Bugojno area in July 1993. The Cantonal Court in Novi Travnik sentenced Muhko Velagic was sentenced to seven years in prison and Safet Velagic to six years for war crimes against prisoners of war.
Bosnian Serb Policeman Jailed for Shooting Civilian
Former policeman Mladjen Vasiljevic was sentenced to three years in prison for shooting a civilian dead in the Ribnik area in August 1992. The District Court in Banja Luka on Tuesday convicted ex-policeman Mladjen Vasiljevic of committing crimes against the civilian population in the Ribnik area.
