As announced by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zoran Bjelica was ordered into custody on December 19 due to a possibility that the suspect might influence the criminal proceedings.

“The Court orders him into custody due to the existence of circumstances, indicating that, while at liberty, the suspect might destroy, hide, change or forge evidence,” the announcement said.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina prohibited Marinko Bjelica from leaving his place of residence, travelling and meeting certain persons.

In case the suspect violates any of the pronounced measures, he may be ordered into custody.
The State Investigation and Protection Agency, SIPA, arrested Marinko and Zoran Bjelica in Trnovo on December 18.

The former members of local Serb military and police forces are suspected of having come to “Miladin Radojevic” school building in Kalinovik on August 1, 1992 and beat four Bosniak civilians up. One of the civilians died due to the beating.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina suspects them of having come to the school building the following day and killed three civilians, whose bodies were exhumed in the Kalinovik area later on.
