Milos Does Not Want to Appear in Court

Dragan Rulofs, a judge with the District Court in Doboj, confirmed that the indictee, who lived in Croatia, had received the summons.
District Prosecutor Zeljka Radovic requested the Court to order Milos into custody and issue an international warrant.
“Considering the fact that he has received the summons, it is obvious that the indictee does not want to appear in Court. It is obvious that it will not be possible to proceed with this trial, because Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia have not signed an agreement on extradition of their citizens,” Radovic said.
Ex-officio Defence attorney Goran Neskovic said that he did not object to the Prosecution’s request, proposing to the Court to consider a possibility of referring the case to Croatian judicial institutions.
Marko Milos, former member of military police with the 108th Slavonija Brod Brigade with the Croatian Army, is charged with having physically and mentally abused detained civilians in Odzak and Bosanski Brod from May to September 1992.
The District Court will decide on the Prosecution’s request to issue an international warrant against Marko Milos at a later stage.
