Trial Chamber Chairman Darko Samardzic said that the Witness Support Section had managed to contact Miloje Udovicic only and that Udovicic had said that he can not travel from Priboj, Serbia, due to poor health.

As he said, the Section had not been able to contact witnesses Velisav Stojkanovic and Slobodan Ikonic, who lived in Priboj as well.

State Prosecutor Mirko Lecic said that those witnesses were important for proving the allegations contained in the indictment.

He announced that an investigator would travel to Priboj in order to speak to the witnesses about their reasons for refusing to testify before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to the charges, Krsmanovic, former member of the Second Podrinje Light Infantry Brigade with the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, is charged with having participated in the murders, rape and abuse of the Bosniak population in Visegrad.

Samardzic said that the Court did not intend to wait for those witnesses too long, adding that he expected to receive the complete information by the next hearing, scheduled for May 21.
