Local Justice – Doboj: Senahid Ribic Pleads not Guilty

Senahid Ribic, former member of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO pleads not guilty, before the District Court in Doboj, to the charges that he committed war crimes against Serb civilians in the Odzak area.

According to the Doboj District Prosecution’s charges, Ribic, former member of the HVO 102nd Brigade from Odzak, unlawfully arrested civilians, physically and mentally mistreated them and participated in murder of civilians. In addition, he is charged with having confiscated other people’s property and burnt houses.

Among other things, the indictment alleges that, in late May 1992 Ribic, who was accompanied by a few armed people, entered a house in the Odzak area, in which a few civilians were killed by automatic guns.

Dusko Ninkovic, preliminary hearing judge with the District Court in Doboj, said that the date of a pre-trial status conference would be set at a later stage. A.G.
