Invitation: Media on trial of Radovan Karadzic

The promotion will be held on 14 July 2011, in the restaurant of the Europe Hotel (Vladislava Škarića 5), in Sarajevo from 1900 hrs. until 2100 hrs.
This publication, printed in both Bosnian and English, provides an overview of how the media in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and the world covered the first year of the trial of Radovan Karadzic, the former President of Republika Srpska indicted for war crimes in BiH.
Among the media examined in this analysis are the best-selling daily and weekly media in BiH, the region and the globe.Erna Mackic, Anna McTaggart and Faida Rahmanovic edited the publication, while BIRN BiH journalists Aida Alic, Merima Husejnovic, Selma Ucanbarlic and Denis Dzidic conducted the monitoring of the media and analysis, with the great support from international practitioners in BIRN BiH.
Presenting this publication at the event will be Anisa Sućeska-Vekić, the director of BIRN BiH; Sabina Wölkner, the director of The Konrad Adenauer Foundation; Radosa Milutinovic, Beta correspondent at The Hague; Faida Rahmanovic, correspondent for the Sense news agency and Nerma Jelacic, spokesperson for The Hague Tribunal.
