The indictment alleges that from May to mid July 1992, Terzic, a former member of the Military Police with the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, participated, on her own or in collaboration with other HVO members, in the inhumane treatment of Serb civilians who were unlawfully held in the school building and “Strolit” Factory premises in Odzak.

“She hit them with a police baton on their necks, shoulders and heads and slapped them. She encouraged a dog to attack them, while also torturing, abusing, humiliating and insulting them in various ways, including by forcing detainees to have sexual intercourse or committing other forms of grave sexual abuse,” the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina says in its announcement.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina ordered prohibiting measures against Albina Terzic, who has dual citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia and lives in Mostar, including a ban on leaving the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to the law, Terzic is due to enter her plea within the next 15 days.
