Trial Chamber Chairwoman Jasmina Kosovic explained that protected witness D previously testified before the Hague Tribunal, which had granted the witness certain protective measures, including excluding the public from his testimony. Kosovic said that the Chamber decided to close today’s hearing to the public for that reason.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Adamovic and Lukic, former members of the Serbian Democratic Party, SDS, Crisis Committee and Town Defence Command in Kljuc, with having participated in a joint criminal enterprise against the non-Serb population in the Kljuc area.

The indictment alleges that they participated in crimes against humanity and war crimes. They are charged with organising a group of people and abetting their commission of genocide.

According to the charges, Adamovic was Deputy Commander of the Kljuc Battalion with the Territorial Defence in Kljuc municipality and Commander of the Town Defence Command and Lukic was Commander of the Territorial Defence Headquarters.

The trial began in 2008. The presentation of additional Prosecution evidence is currently underway.

The trial is due to continue on Wednesday, April 20.
