Macic is charged with war crimes against civilians and prisoners of war committed in the “Celebici” detention camp in Brdjani village and the “Musala” sports hall in Konjic in June 1992.

The indictment alleges that in mid June 1992 Macic, as a member of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, along with other unidentified guards in the “Celebici” detention camp, brutally beat up an older Serb civilian who later died as a result of his injuries.

Macic is indicted for having treated detained Serb civilians and prisoners of war in an inhumane manner, causing them bodily injuries, as well as physical and mental suffering, in the “Musala” sports hall in Konjic in March or April 1993.

Macic is defending himself while at liberty.
