The State Prosecution examined protected witness D5 at the trial of Radomir Vukovic and Zoran Tomic, who are charged with genocide committed in Srebrenica. Under the protection measures granted in the case of this witness, disclosure of any parts of his testimony in public is prohibited.
At the hearing held on February 3 the Trial Chamber granted additional protection measures, prohibiting “disclosure of witness D5’s personal data, photographs or statements” in public.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Vukovic and Tomic, former members of the Second Special Police Squad from Sekovici, with having participated in genocide committed in Srebrenica in July 1995, after the fall of the UN protected zone.
The indictment alleges that the two men participated in the capture and murder of more than 1,000 men at the Kravica Agricultural Cooperative, in Bratunac Municipality, on July 13, 1995.
The trial is due to continue on February 12, 2009.
