On Wednesday, March 27 the Hague Tribunal is due to pronounce a verdict against Mico Stanisic and Stojan Zupljanin, who are charged with persecutions and other crimes against the non-Serb population.

Testifying in defence of Radovan Karadzic, former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vitomir Zepinic says that, on the eve of the war the indictee advocated for separation of Serbs from Bosniaks and Croats, but he referred to political and cultural, not physical separation.

The witness for Radovan Karadzics defence denied that Bosniaks and Croats were expelled from the Sarajevo neighbourhood of Grbavica in the autumn of 1992.

Former Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Branko Djeric says at Radovan Karadzics trial at The Hague that, despite his warning, in 1992 the indictee did not want to deal with war crimes committed by Serb forces, saying that they could be dealt with later.

At a status conference held before the Hague Tribunal Chamber Stojan Zupljanin says he wants to prepare his defence while at liberty.

Radovan Karadzic agrees with the proposal made by Stojan Zupljanin to merge his indictment with the one against Mico Stanisic and Stojan Zupljanin, while the Hague Prosecution objects the proposal.

On September 29 the Hague Prosecution filed a joindered indictment with the Tribunal for its confirmation.
