Presenting its closing statement, the state prosecution called on the state court to hand down a guilty verdict in the Dzevad Dulic trial. The verdict is scheduled for September 11.
A defense witness testifying at the Dzevad Dulic trial said he fought alongside the defendant in the same brigade and had no knowledge of his alleged criminal activity.
The trial of Dzevad Dulic began today with a reading of the indictment, introductory statements, and the examination of the first prosecution witness. Dulic, a former Bosnian Army fighter, is charged with the rape of a woman in the Cazin area in 1993.
Dzihad Kovacevic, a defense witness testifying at a trial for crimes allegedly committed by Bosnian forces in Kladanj, said that he felt endangered by the armed residents of Serb villages in that area.
