Reading of the indictment by the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina starts the trial of Muhidin Basic and Mirsad Sijak, charged with the war crime committed in Vares in 1994.
Basic and Sijak are charged with the rape of a Bosnian Croat woman at the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina prison located in the basement of the “Sumarstvo” building in Vares, on January 25, 1994.

The trial of Muhidin Basic and Mirsad Sijak, charged with rape in Vares in January 1994, will begin in February 20 this year, when the indictment will be read and the opening arguments presented.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina requests the State Court to order prohibiting measures against Muhidin Basic and Mirsad Sijak, who are charged with crimes against civilians in the Vares area in 1994, while the Defence objects to the request.
