At the trial for genocide in Srebrenica a former member of the Tenth Reconnaissance Squad with the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, who testified in defence of the first indictee, says that, in July 1995, as per an order issued by Miso Pelemis, a group of soldiers was taken to Branjevo farm, near Zvornik, where they killed between 600 and 700 prisoners.

In its closing statement the Defence of Momir Pelemis says that the Prosecution has not proved the indictee's guilt, calling on the Court to acquit him of the charges that he committed genocide in Srebrenica.


19. August 2011.
Protected witness KDZ 340, former member of the Territorial Defence of Bosnian Serbs in Zvornik, says at the trial of Radovan Karadzic that, in April 1992 all residents of that town were aware that the war was breaking out, adding that Bosniak and Serb families fled to the other side of River Drina because of that, and not because they were forced to do so.
