The trial of Ratko Mladic, who is charged with genocide and other crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, continues with testimony by a Bosniak, who survived the shooting of Srebrenica residents on Branjevo farm, near Pilica village in Zvornik municipality in July 1995. The witness, who testified under the pseudonym of RM-255, said that, on July 13, 1995 Serb soldiers separated him from his family in Potocari, where the local population from Srebrenica sought shelter in the vicinity of the UNPROFOR Base.

At the trial of the four indictees, who are charged with genocide in Srebrenica, the Defence of Franc Kos presents material evidence related to the functioning of the Tenth Reconnaissance Squad of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, and hiding of information about the happenings in Srebrenica in 1995.

31. October 2011.
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sentences Momir Pelemis to 16 and Slavko Peric to 19 years' imprisonment for assisting in the commission of genocide in Srebrenica in July 1995. Under the first instance verdict, the Chamber determined that Pelemis, former Deputy Commander of the First Battalion with Zvornik Brigade, and Peric, former Assistant Commander for Security with that same unit, assisted in the murder of at least 1,000 Bosniak men in Pilica area, Zvornik municipality.

In its closing statement the Defence of Momir Pelemis says that the Prosecution has not proved the indictee's guilt, calling on the Court to acquit him of the charges that he committed genocide in Srebrenica.
