The Bosnian state court confirmed an indictment against Almaz Nezirovic, a former member of the Croatian Defense Council. Nezirovic has been charged with war crimes against civilians in the Derventa and Bosanski Brod area.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed an indictment against Almaz Nezirovic for war crimes in the northern Derventa and Bosanski Brod municipalities.

U.S. authorities extradited Almaz Nezirovic to Bosnia and Herzegovina to face war crimes charges. Nezirovic, a former military police officer with Bosnian Croat forces, is suspected of taking part in the abuse of Serb civilians in the Rabic camp in Derventa from April to July 1992.

Foreign media reports say that the U.S. State Department will make a decision on the extradition of Almaz Nezirovic, who is suspected of committing war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
