Testifying at the war crimes trial of former prison warden Nenad Przulj, prosecution witnesses said that prisoners were held in grim conditions and beaten up in detention in the Sokolac area.
The wife of former Marijan Brnjic said he was not a Croatian Defence Council fighter and was in Germany at the time he allegedly raped a woman in the Odzak area in 1992.
Defence witness Klara Brnjic told the court in Sarajevo on Wednesday that her husband Marijan was in Germany, where his family was living, at the time the crime was committed.
A state prosecution witness testifying at the Marijan Brnjic trial recognized the defendant in the courtroom and said he raped her in Posavska Mahala in the municipality of Odzak in 1992.
The Bosnian state prosecution has confirmed an indictment charging Marijan Brnjic with war crimes against the civilian population in the municipality of Odzak.
