The trial of former members of the Socicka Company of the Bosnian Serb Army began today in Sarajevo with opening statements and a reading of the indictment.
Investigator Slavisa Lucic was the first prosecution witness at the trial of former Bosnian Army soldiers Adil Vojic and Bekir Mesic. Lucic determined during his investigation that the defendants had forced a man to rape his mother.
Stanislav Kresic , a former detainee and a prosecution witness at the trial of Enes Curic et al., said he was detained in three facilities in Mostar in 1993 and that Enes Curic was the commander in all three facilities.
Radosav Milovanovic has plead not guilty before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina for a rape he allegedly committed in the Srebrenica area in May 1992.
Defense witness Zeljko Jeftovic said that soldiers of the Bosnian Serb Army Rogaticka Brigade took two members of the Besic family to a wall at the Jewish cemetery in Sarajevo.
Following the presentation of closing statements, the appellate chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is expected to pronounce a verdict in the Zeljko Jukic case on March 3.
