A state prosecution witness said approximately 100 Serbs were detained in the Ivan Goran Kovacic school building in Livno. The witness said the detainees were under the control of Muhamed Ibrahimovic.
The trial of Djordje Ristanic began with a reading of the indictment and the presentation of the state prosecution’s introductory statement. Ristanic has been charged with crimes against humanity in the municipality of Brcko in 1992.
In its closing statement, the state prosecution asked the court to sentence Nikola Maric to long term imprisonment for committing crimes against humanity in the Prijedor area.
A statement from a protected witness was read at the trial of four former members of the Bosnian Serb Army charged with crimes in Sanski Most. The statement was read although it had been determined that the witness was incapable of testifying due to a chronic mental illness, specifically paranoid schizophrenia.
Presenting its closing statement, the state prosecution said it had proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Zoran Bjelica and Novica Tripkovic committed war crimes in the Kalinovik area.
A former member of the Livno military police testified at the trial of three former members of the Croatian Defense Council’s military police. The witness said defendant Zdenko Andabak was his commander. He said the second defendant in the case, Muamir Jasarevic, was at the headquarters, but he didn’t specify which one.
The Bosnian state court has fined attorney Bajro Cilic 3,000 BAM for being in contempt of the court at a trial dealing with wartime crimes committed in the Livno area. Cilic as removed from the courtroom and the examination of a state prosecution witness was interrupted upon his expulsion.
Testifying at a trial dealing with war crimes committed in Rogatica and Foca, a protected witness said he didn’t see defendant Muhamed Sisic shooting at the tires of a bus transporting civilians in Kukavice. However, the witness said he assumed that Sisic shot at them.
The trial of Dragoja Zmijanjac began with a reading of the indictment and the presentation of introductory statements by the defense and the prosecution. Zmijanjac has been charged with crimes against humanity in the Prijedor area.
The state court has referred the case against Sekula Babic to the cantonal court of Livno for further processing. Babic has been charged with crimes in Glamoc.
