The acquittal of Naser Oric, the Bosnian Army’s former commander in Srebrenica, has been quashed and he will be retried for allegedly killing three Bosnian Serb prisoners of war in 1992. The appeals chamber of Bosnia’s state court has overturned the first-verdict acquitting Naser Oric and his subordinate Sabahudin Muhic and ordered a retrial, the prosecution confirmed to BIRN on Monday.

Wartime fighters Milorad Radakovic and Goran Pejic were acquitted of murdering five members of a family in the village of Tukovi near Prijedor in June 1992. The Bosnian state court in Sarajevo on Tuesday cleared Milorad Radakovic and Goran Pejic of the murders of five members of the Ecimovic family, saying the prosecution failed to prove its case.

Eleven former members of the Croatian Defence Council will stand trial for crimes against humanity for illegally detaining Bosniaks in inhumane conditions in Mostar in 1993 and 1994. The Bosnian state court on Thursday confirmed the indictment charging the 11 former Croatian Defence Council members - Nedzad Coric, Jure Kordic, Drazen Lovric, Dario Susac, Nedzad Tinjak, Nuhan Sikalo, Dario Mihalj, Stanko Skobic, Tomislav Ancic, Marinko Sunjic and Slavko Golemac - with crimes against humanity.

Former Bosnian Serb Army soldier Milomir Davidovic was charged with taking part in the rape and sexual abuse of Bosniak women in Foca in the summer of 1992. The Bosnian state prosecution on Friday raised an indictment charging Davidovic with taking part in the rape and sexual abuse of Bosniak women in Foca in July 1992.
