The indictment alleges that Acimovic assisted a joint criminal enterprise aimed at detaining and killing able-bodied Bosniak men and deporting women and children from the Srebrenica enclave from July 14-16, 1995.

According to the state prosecution, Acimovic acted upon orders issued by the Command of the Zvornicka Brigade and the Bosnian Serb Army’s Main Headquarters to kill Srebrenica civilians. Blindfolded and tied up, Acimovic allegedly led the civilians from a school building in Rocevic in the municipality of Zvornik to a gravel site on the banks of the Drina River in Kozluk, where they were killed.

The state prosecution’s indictment states that at least 1040 Bosniak men and boys were killed, and their bodies were buried in sand holes in an unmarked mass grave.
