According to the unconfirmed indictment, Milan Gojkovic, former member of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, raped a Bosniak female person and participated in the murder of her husband in Grbavica neighbourhood during September 1992.

The Prosecution of BiH announced that Gojkovic, who was allegedly accompanied by Veselin ‘Batko’ Vlahovic and two other unidentified VRS members, came to a house, where they found a married couple and their minor daughter, in the evening hours on September 29, 1992.

“While one of the soldiers kept watch in front of the door, the indictee committed rape and sexual abuse of the Bosniak victim, using force and threatening her. He committed the crime in an extremely brutal manner in front of her husband, who was forced to watch the act by Vlahovic and another unknown soldier. After that Vlahovic slaughtered the man,” the State Prosecution announced.

The indicment has been filed with the Court of BiH for confirmation.

Gojkovic was arrested at the beginning of December. After that the Court of BiH ordered him into home detention.

Vlahovic was sentenced to 42 years in prison for having committed crimes in the Grbavica, Vraca and Kovacici neighbourhoods, Sarajevo.
