The former member of the Bircanska Brigade with the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, also known as “Sekovacka Guards” is suspected of having raped a Bosniak female in Caparde village, Osmaci, in June 1992.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, announced that Bosniak females, who had been deported from Brcko, were detained in a building in Caparde.

“Multiple rape of more than 25 victims was committed. The victims were forcedly taken out of the building and then raped and sexually abused in abandoned houses in that place,” the Prosecution of BiH said, adding that they were working on identifying other suspects.
