Shooting of captured soldier

Muharem Vejo, a former member of “Zulfikar” unit of BIH Army (ABIH), said that the wounding happened in Donja Jablanica at Rogica houses where the headquarters of his unit was.
According to him, in the unit headquarters a “truck of people” came and his co-fighter Nedzad Spago said to him that’s captured prisoners of HVO. Meanwhile, as he said, Ramiz Delilic called Celo, who shot in prisoner, arrived in jeep.
“Spago approached to Celo, they were talking about something. He took his gun and fired in one of these prisoners. He was wounded in his leg,” the witness said.
According to his memory, the wounding happened around September 20 1993.
According to the indictment, Bojadzic,a former deputy commander of the “Zulfirak” unit ABIH, shot one prisoner in the foot at Donja Jablanica in the second half of 1993.
Ramiz Delalic called Celo was murdered in Sarajevo in 2007.
Jasmin Medic, who was also at that time member of Delalic’s unit also testified. He said how he with his unit went to field in Hercegovina and they were situated in the base of the “Zulfikar” unit.
“The noise was down, screaming… I saw when Ramiz took out his gun and shot at the man,” the witness said and added that he later heard that he was a captured prisoner of the HVO.
On the question of when this happened, the witness said that in first half of September in 1993.
Prosecutor Emir Neradin asked the witness why he didn’t speak about it when he was giving statement to the judge of Cantonal Court in Sarajevo 1998 where he responded: “I was only asked about crimes at Grbavica.”
Amir Kurtovic, the third Defence witness said that he saw accused Bojadzic in July 1993 on Igman at the time of fighting between ABIH and VRS. The witness said how he was wounded on July 19 on Igman, and Bojadzic and his driver took him to hospital.
After that witness said that he became member of “Zulfikar” unit and that he saw Bojadzic again in the fall 1993.
“He was skinnier, with hair and beard,” witness explained appearance of the accused.
Prosecution witnesses who said that Bojadzic harassed then in second half of 1993 said earlier on trial that they didn’t notice anything characteristic.
The trial of Bojadzic, who is also accused for other crimes at Jablanica, will continue on November 27.
