Goran Milicevic, former member of reserve police forces, told the Court that Milisavljevic, whom he had known since 1989, was also a member of reserve police forces for a certain period of time and that he heard, later on, that he joined a special unit with the Army once the Uzice Corps had left.
Milicevic said that members of reserve police used to patrol the town and guard buildings.
“I did not personally arrest anyone. A Uzice Corps patrol was in charge of arresting people,” Milicevic said.
He said that he had never heard that Milisavljevic abused civilians in the Public Safety Centre in Visegrad or participated in executions.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina charges Milisavljevic and Milos Pantelic with having participated in the murder of several tens of Bosniaks near the Paklenik pit, Sokolac municipality. The two indictees and Ljubomir Tasic are charged with having participated in the forced resettlement of more than 500 Bosniak civilians from the Visegrad area.
The indictment alleges that Milisavljevic and Pantelic, former members of reserve police forces in Visegrad, and Tasic, former member of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, committed those crimes in the period from April to June 1992.
Davor Fuks and Sulejman Selimovic, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, SIPA, testified at this hearing as per an invitation by Milisavljevic’s Defence. They confirmed that they took a statement from witness Junuz Tufekcic on January 19, 2010.
Fuks and Selimovic said that the minutes could not have possibly contained something that was not said by the witness, pointing out that the witness read the minutes and had no objections.
“I confirm that the minutes contain what Mr. Tufekcic said at that moment. He said that the Milosavljevic brother were there. When asked if he knew Predrag Milisavljevic, he said that he did not know,” Selimovic said.
The trial is due to continue on February 25.
