Trial of Hodzic and Salcin Begins Next Week

The trial of Nedzad Hodzic and Dzevad Salcin, who are charged with crimes against Croats and Serbs on Mount Igman, is due to begin before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina next week.

The beginning of the trial of Hodzic and Salcin, former members of “Zulfikar” Squad with the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, is scheduled for Thursday, November 7, when the State Prosecution will read the indictment and present an introductory statement.

On Wednesday, November 6 a plea hearing is due to take place in the case against Josip Tolic, former member of the Croatian Defence Council, HVO, whom the indictment charged with having treated prisoners in Odzak and Bosanski Brod in an inhumane manner.

A pre-trial status conference in the case against Goran Saric, who is charged with genocide in Srebrenica, is scheduled forTuesday, November 5, while the one in the case against Aleksandar Cvetkovic, who too is charged with genocide in Srebrenica, takes place two days later.

On Monday, November 4 appeals against a first instance verdict of conviction are due to be presented at the trial of Mehura Selimovic, Adil Ruznic and Emir Mustafic. One day later the parties are due to present their appeals in the case against Muhidin Basic and Mirsad Sijak, who were sentenced, under a first instance verdict, to seven years in prison each.

The presentation of closing statements at the trial of Nisvet Gasal, Musajb Kukavica and Senad Dautovic, who are charged with crimes in Bugojno, is due to be continued on Wednesday and at the trial of Marko Adamovic and Bosko Lukic, who are charged with crimes in Kljuc, on Friday.

The trial of Savo Babic, who is charged with crimes in Bratunac, continues on Monday and Tuesday.

New Defence witnesses are due to appear at the trial of Predrag Milisavljevic, Milos Pantelic and Ljubomir Tasic, who are charged with crimes in Visegrad, on Tuesday. The trial of Najdan Mladjenovic and Savo Zivkovic, who are charged with crimes in Bratunac, is due to continue on that same day.

On Tuesday the trials are due to continue in the case against Edin Dzekc, who is charged with crimes in Trusina and Jablanica, and Ivan Zelenika, Srecko Herceg, Edib Buljubasic, Ivan Medic and Marina Grubisic-Fejzic, who are charged with crimes in Dretelj.

Veselko and Ivo Raguz, who are on trial for crimes in Stolac and Capljina, Branko Vlaco, who is charged with crimes in Vogosca, and Ostoja Stanisic and Marko Milosevic, who are charged with genocide in Srebrenica, are due to appear before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday.

The trial of Mustafa Djelilovic, Fadil Covic, Mirsad Sabic, Nezir Kazic, Becir Hujic, Halid Covic, Serif Mesanovic and Nermin Kalember, who are charged with crimes in the Hadzici area, continues on Thursday too.

On that same day the trial is due to continue in the case against Zoran Milic, who is charged with crimes in the Busovaca area, and Nihad Bojadzic, who is indicted for crimes in Jablanica.

On Friday new State Prosecution witnesses are due to be examined at the trial of Vehid Subotic, who is charged with murders committed in Dusina village, near Zenica, and Osman Brkan and Ibro Macic for crimes committed in the Konjic area.

On that same day the trials are due to continue in the case against Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Nusret Muhic, Zijad Hamzic, Ramiz Halilovic, Nedzad Hodzic, Hariz Habibovic, Kahro Vejzovic and Osman Gogic, who are charged with crimes in Kladanj, and Ramiz Avdovic and Iulian-Nicolae Vintila for crimes in Sarajevo.
